In business transactions and in most business disputes and lawsuits, I charge on an hourly basis.
In some cases, clients have no alternative other than a contingent fee. In other cases, clients who are able to pay on an hourly basis are better served by doing so. Whether a particular client would be better served with an hourly or a contingent fee arrangement depends upon the client, the nature of the case and the facts of the particular case. I analyze these factors with my clients before making a fee agreement.
